Girl Effect's TEGA awarded 'Best Use of Customer Insight' at Campaign's Creative Tech Awards 2017
TEGA (Technology Enabled Girl Ambassadors) uses pioneering mobile technology to teach girls aged 18-24 in the Global South how to collect honest real-time data about their world has been awarded a Gold in the prestigious UK Campaign magazine Creative Tech Awards.
In partnership with the team here at Maido and consumer market research agency 2CV, this highly innovative and collaborative initiative has made a real impact on the lives of girls, providing valuable data and information. We’re proud to be involved in this project with purpose.
The output of this authentic peer—to—peer insight helps Girl Effect and their partners better understand the reality of girls’ lives. Better, more targeted development programmes that really make impact can be designed and through TEGA, new economic opportunities for girls are created, skilling them up to become researchers in their own communities.
